After some time, the electrical outlets in the house become loose due to wear and tear and the plugs may fall out if they are not fixed properly. If there is loose contact, they will get heated and may cause a fire. Also the electrical appliances connected to the outlet may get damaged.
1. Plug new plug outlets, a higher rating is always better, but may be more expensive and not fit in. A pack of 10 outlets costs about $4.
2. It is advisable to buy outlets from a reputed manufacturer, whose products conform to the relevant electrical standards in the country / region. They are usually better designed and easier to install.
3. Before installing switch off the mains supply and disconnect appliances to eliminate the risk of electrocution.
